Malcom Adler

Malcom AdlerHydrotherapist

Malcolm Adler comes from a commercial background, owning his own Brokerage until retiring in 1998 to concentrate on his other commercial interests. At this time his wife Katherine was an already established natural health practitioner, relieving distress and discomfort in humans. Malcolm formed a new practice so that Kate could focus on treating conditions both human and animal.

By 1999 Malcolm had introduced canine hydrotherapy equipment into the therapy centre, forming Hydrozone. He spent the majority of his time over the course of the next few years learning aspects of several therapies, but concentrating particularly or Physical, Aqua and Hydrotherapy. Instead of overseeing the commercial side of the new practice, his new found passion saw him mostly in and around water.

More than a decade on, Malcolm and his colleagues work together practising as the Animal Rehabilitation Centre, employing qualified Veterinary staff to compliment their existing skill base.

As past Chairman and current Company Secretary and Board Director of the Canine Hydrotherapy Association, much of Malcolm’s time is spent playing an active role in regulating the profession and raising standards. Most recently, he has focused on bringing to the market the first nationally recognised qualification in Canine Hydrotherapy.

Having completed the nationally recognised Qualification in Small Animal Hydrotherapy, Malcolm was one of the first in the country to also complete the National Diploma in Canine Aqua and Hydrotherapy, fully accredited by the Institute of Registered Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapists.

He regularly conducts lectures for Royal Canin and is present at every Pet Health Counsellor Course.

Malcolm is a devoted family man, father of Danielle & Nicole, and also has two beautiful BD’s Millie & Tia. In what little spare time he has, Malcolm is a keen Martial Artist, studying Karate, Tai Chi and Zen Kempo Ryu Ju-Jitsu and you will often find him honing his skills in his own Dojo.
