Louise Carson BSc MSc MCSP SRP ACPAT (CAT A)

Louise qualified from Leeds in 1998 with a BSc (HONS) in Physiotherapy. She then worked for the NHS in west yorkshire for 2 years during which time she worked at the regional spinal injuries unit.

Louise susequently moved to West London and continued woking in the NHS in Chelsea for a further 3 years. Whilst there she co-ran the out of hours hydrotherapy club before commencing a MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy at the Royal Vet College in 2002 which she completed in 2004.

Accepted on to the ACPAT cat A register Jan 2004, Louise worked for 3 years with a long standing Cat A Chartered Physiotherapist Charlotte Baldwyn, where she was brilliantly mentored learning lots with complex cases.

During this time Louise set up her own practice and has worked independently for the past three years with referrals from a variety of vet practices in Herts, Beds and Bucks.

In her spare time Louise enjoys spending time with her 2 horses (a 17 year old ex-eventer that she’s had since a 5 year old and her 3 year old daughter), Bruno a black labrador gun dog and her husband.

Additional notable experience:

In 2003 Louise turned to the ‘dark side’ with her human physiotherapy and went into private practice in the city. Although treating all types of musculoskeletal conditions her area of expertise is biased towards sports and post operative rehabilitation working closely with consultant colleagues.

In September of 2004 Louise was invited as a guest lecturer at the first veterinary physiotherapy symposium held at the RVC to present her MSc research.

In 2006 Louise ran a day long physiotherapy and hydrotherapy course for vet nurses in Leeds on behalf of Charlotte Baldwyn.

Louise regularly attends both human and veterinary CPD courses to stay up to date with current research and treatment methods.

Louise locumed for a colleague in 2004/2005 at Hydrovet-pool and Waterwalker in Wandsworth. This included physio assessment and setting up a water based rehab programme.
